Hi everyone thought I would start getting first five months ofthe year statistics out and compare to 2007 for homes, both single family and town homes, condos, duplexes. For 2008 we had 164 sales in Streamwood with 75 being attached properties ie, condos, town homes, duplex, quad with an average price being $190,615. In comparison to 2007 the same time of year of 249 sales, 113 being attached with an average price of $194,010. For the same time in 2008 for single family homes we had a total # of sales -89 with an average sale price of $239,895 for the same time period in 2007 we had 136 single family homes sell with an average sale price of $253,720. Yes, prices have come down but I think we had a couple years of prices being out of control so I think this is just correcting that. If you are thinking of moving it is an excellent time as even if you sell for a little less than you would have you will make that up on the purchase.
