Winter Safety Tips for Northwest Suburban Chicago Homes

Be safe in your home in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago

Whether you live in a home or a town home or a condo.  Whether you live in Schaumburg, Streamwood, Hanover Park, Roselle, Elk Grove, Hoffman Estates or any of the surrounding towns safety is and must be a main concern. 

  1. Test your smoke detectors - make sure the batteries are ok.
  2. Have a fire extinguisher in your home. 
  3. Have a carbon monoxide detector - symptoms of this illness are dizziness, nausea, headaches, irregular heartbeat, pale skin with cherry red lips and ear tips. 
  4. Use space heaters carefully. 
  5. Keep your gas meter clear of ice and snow.
